Between October 2020 and January 2022, Splendid Events hosted regular Zoom chats, for leading outdoor festivals to talk with each other about the challenges they were facing, as detailed below.

Our aim:

  • Support and inspire each other as we respond to COVID-19

  • Direct each other to good ideas, advice, best practice, forms of support, resources and government guidance.

  • Support the excellent work being done by our trade associations and campaigns

  • Discuss anything of relevance to safely restart outdoor festivals

  • Include specialist guest speakers

About the chats:

These Zoom chats are designed for leading outdoor music festivals of between 5,000 and 20,000 capacity, that have broadly similar styles, concerns and audience profiles, though are not genre specific.

There’s no cost to attend and the chats are available regardless of trade association membership. although participants are strongly encouraged to be a part of and support at least one relevant industry trade association.

The chats are held every 2 weeks, they last an hour and they are a safe space - they are not recorded. There is also the opportunity to ask questions and share information between chats using the app Slack.
